Ben Lexcen Marine (WA) opened its doors on 1 July 1990 named after the late Ben Lexcen, official designer of the Americas Cup winning Australia II. Founding company directors Andrea and Tony Lyndon-James established an excellent reputation throughout Australia with a second branch of the company opened on the Sunshine Coast. Efforts concentrated on the areas of sail and power yachting, both new and used.
Ben Lexcen Marine (WA) is the only West Australian brokerage that continues to seriously market classic timber boats, this is a passion that now extends into our marketing of Hanse and Moody Yachts; these brands represent the coming of new technology. With epoxy hulls, fast lines, Judel/Vrolijk design, there is a new era for yachts and Ben Lexcen Marine alike.
Our marketing and advertising strategies put Ben Lexcen Marine (WA) to the forefront of the boating industry in Western Australia; we are now employing new marketing and advertising strategies to emphasise the new relationship Ben Lexcen Marine has with Hanse and Moody Yachts as their Western Australian dealer.
In conjunction with Windcraft Australia (NSW) over 150 Hanse Yachts have been brought into Australia. Western Australia forms as an emerging market for the Hanse an Moody brands, interest continues to build while the fleet of Hanse Yachts grows.
